Precision Processing

Scott Stainless Steel, Inc. will deliver your stainless steel in a form that is ready for your manufacturing line. Whether it is a 20,000 pound 48" wide coil, 2,000 pounds of 1" wide strip, or a 5,000 pound stack of sheets, we strive to meet or exceed your stainless steel needs.

We will process any of our coils to your manufacturing specs. Our precision, custom processing includes:

• Slitting:
  
  Widths from .1875" up to 60" with a standard tolerance of +/-0.005". If needed, we can often hold a closer tolerance.
  
  
• Edging:
  
  The standard is a #3 slit edge. We can also provide a deburred edge, round edge, square edge and other skived edges.
  
  
• Cutting-to-length and leveling:
  
  We supply sheets in standard lengths such as 96", 120" or 144" or any custom length between 18" and 300".
  
  
• Shearing:
  
  We can often hold tighter than ASTM standards.
  
   
• Polishing:
  
  We can polish to a #3 or #4 with either paper interleaving or PVC to protect the finish.
